A plan before the work
Clear scope.
Considered details.
Assess the surface
Understand the corrosion, existing coating, and desired result. Unknown coatings may need further assessment.
Define protection and access
Agree the work area, surrounding protection, and residue-handling plan.
Remove rust and coatings
A controlled dust-suppressed process prepares the suitable surfaces in the agreed scope.
Protect the prepared metal
Bare steel can rust quickly. Agree inhibitor treatment and coating timing with the next trade.
Good questions
Know what to expect.
Does blasting repair deep rust pits?
No. Cleaning can expose and prepare pitted metal, but cannot replace metal that corrosion has removed. We discuss those limits before starting.
Is this the same as pressure washing?
No. Abrasive blasting is a different process used for suitable restoration and coating-removal work. We choose the approach after discussing the material and result.
Do you apply the final coating?
A final coating is included only if it is listed in the agreed scope. We can discuss the preparation and handoff your next trade needs.
